Model versions
A dated identity for the model package that produced a specific forecast record.
In plain language
A model version helps distinguish one issued forecast from another. A newer version may use updated inputs or implementation, but newer does not automatically mean more accurate.
What to check
- Keep the issued date and model version together when comparing forecasts.
- A historical or archived estimate is not the current model release.
- Forecasts remain uncertain regardless of their model version.
