Data freshness
How recently a displayed observation was recorded relative to its accepted update window.
In plain language
Current, stale, and unavailable describe the recorded observation, not the quality of a forecast. A stale value can still be genuine historical data, but it should not be mistaken for a live or current price.
What to check
- Read the observation timestamp and market date.
- A fresh price does not prove that forecast inputs or a model are ready.
- Unavailable values stay blank rather than being replaced with estimates.
